Mexican Fleabane

I am mildly obsessed with this little daisy. I love the way it just grows in the most inhospitable places in the most sweet and friendly manner. It doesnt look particularly stressed in all this rain but does looks gorgeous and frothy in the sunshine. It just softens a wall or an edge of a house or the cracks of paving. Pretty and cottagey but also the right colours for more modern surroundings. It just sort of gets on and does what its supposed do which is to be daisyish for as many months of the year as it can flower which are usually from about June to October but in recent warm years I have seen it flower for longer than that. It self seeds around fairly easily so if you find a little clump pull up a bit and plant it in some sunshine/partial shade in some gravel or on a wall near some steps and then watch it do its thing.
